Invite firm staff or a client principal
Firm staff and client-portal access are separate. A firm operator sends the first principal invitation; an accepted principal manages their own delegates.
Firm staff
The $10,000/year Institutional plan includes five internal staff access places. Only invite people who work for the firm, then give each person the smallest role needed for their job.
- Open Firm team.
- Enter the exact email the staff member will use to sign in.
- Choose the smallest suitable staff role.
- Send the invitation. A staff place is held while it is pending.
- If delivery fails, use Resend. The previous link stops working.
Client principal and delegates
Each client relationship includes one principal and up to four delegates outside the five firm-staff places; they do not require another plan. The firm sends only the principal invitation. After acceptance, that principal manages delegates from the client portal.
Accepting an invitation
The person opens the invitation, signs in with the invited email, and completes the email-code check. Another email cannot claim the invitation.
A delegate sees only the relationship access the principal approved. A delegate cannot invite the principal, manage another delegate, or inherit the principal’s authority.
