How MacroGuru — a Bloque Labs Private Limited product — collects, uses, and protects personal data. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
MacroGuru (macroguru.app) is a research publication and software product of Bloque Labs Private Limited, a company incorporated in India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains, in plain language, what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. Questions and requests: admin@macroguru.app.
Account data. When you sign in we collect your email address, used solely to send a one-time passcode and operate your account (via our authentication provider, Supabase).
Usage analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage — pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device type, and the campaign or referrer that brought you here (UTM parameters and similar identifiers, stored first-touch and last-touch in your browser's local storage).
Questions you ask. Searches submitted to What-If may be stored in anonymized form (the question text only — never joined to your identity) to power the public People-Asked board and improve coverage.
Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and reliability.
We do not collect payment card numbers on this site today, we do not collect government identifiers, we do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising trackers beyond the analytics described above.
To operate your account and deliver the service you request (performance of contract / legitimate use); to measure and improve the product (legitimate interest / consent where required); to secure the service against abuse (legitimate interest); and to meet legal obligations. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), we process personal data for these specified purposes with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law.
Service providers who process data on our behalf and under contract: Supabase (authentication and application database), Google (Tag Manager / Analytics), Vercel (hosting), and Zoho (email). We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Our providers may process data outside India (including the United States and the European Union). We rely on their standard contractual safeguards and process only the minimum needed to run the service.
Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on verified request. Analytics data follows Google Analytics' configured retention. Anonymized questions may be retained indefinitely because they contain no personal identifiers.
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate a person to exercise your rights, by emailing admin@macroguru.app from your registered address. We respond within a reasonable time and in any case as the DPDP Act requires. If you are unsatisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India; EU/UK visitors may contact their local supervisory authority.
We use strictly-necessary storage for sign-in sessions, and analytics cookies/local storage as described above (including first-touch and last-touch attribution). Your browser can clear or block these; the site keeps working.
MacroGuru is not directed to children and we do not knowingly process children's personal data.
We will post any material change to this policy on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Effective date: July 4, 2026.
